SFX: We open on the sounds of a hushed school auditorium and hear chatter amongst kids and parents.

SFX: We hear footsteps as Freddy steps up to the microphone.

Freddy: Could I .. Um… Have the origin?

Host: The word comes from the Spanish patata.

SFX: Freddy take a deep breath before exhaling slowly.

Freddy: Pot-ay-toe. Pot-ay-toe.

SFX: We hear Freddy lean closer to the mic as he nervously breathes on it

Freddy: Pee. Oww. Tee. ARGHHHHHHHH. Tee.

Host: Oww! I’m sorry Freddy. There’s no ‘R’ in Potato. But you were so close!

Freddy: Whaaat? But Miss Logan, I said ARGHHHHHHHH!

Teacher: Off the stage please Freddy. And hand our of your pants please. Neeeeeeext!

SFX: We hear some kids in the audience chuckle before the footsteps of the next kid walking onto the stage

Mr Schmidt adjusts himself and prepares to try again.

Photographer: Ok, not a problem let's try again Mr. Schmidt straight into the camera...

SFX: We hear the hum of a halogen light globe that occasionally flickers in the background.
SFX: We hear the camera flash.

At that moment, we see the frame freeze on Mr Schmidt and fade to black.

Photographer: Mr. Schmidt!
Mr Schmidt adjusts himself, no sweaty and visibly stressed, this time taking a deep breath, before getting
ready to try again.

At that moment, we see the frame freeze on Mr. Schmidt

Photographer: Ok Mr. Schmidt ... (defeated)
We see Mr Schmidt sweat as he composes himself gets ready to try again.

SFX: We hear the the Photographer sigh and pack up their things. Footsteps quietly fade away as we hear
the click of a few light switches before a door shuts.
The hum of the light bulb has stopped as the room is now pitch black.

We’re just able to make out Mr Schmidt. He’s still sitting there. Motionless.

SFX: We hear nothing
